Ok, so you have a nice new trailer, hopefully you bought it from Trailer4U? If you did we would advise a number of security options to help keep your trailer on your drive.
Trailer theft is a unfortunate reality, but you can do your best to minimise the risk of it being towed away. Our security options work as a physical deterrent to stop even the most determine thief.
Hitch Locks
Hitch locks are a great way to secure your trailer. They stop the thief from being to access the tow hitch. Together with a good Wheel clamp this is the most effective way of securing your trailer.
The SAS Fortress hitch lock range is a versatile range of high security hitch locks that can be fitted either when unhitched or hitched to your trailer. The FORT A and U models have been specifically designed to fit brakes or unbraked trailers.

Wheel Clamps
Wheel clamps, fit to your wheel or wheels to stop them from being removed and the trailer from being towed. Fitting one or more wheel clamp together with a hitch lock is the most effective way of securing your trailer.

GPS Trackers and vibration alarms
Fitting a GPS Tracker to your trailer enables you to be alerted when the trailer is moved or accessed and enables you to track its movements and history of movements. Together with a wheel clamp or clamps, and a hitch lock, this is the most effective way to secure and track your trailer.

Apple Airtag
We recommend installing an Apple Airtag and pairing this up to your Iphone or a family members phone, if you do not own one. This is piece of mind that you could pinpoint your trailers whereabouts in the event of it being stolen. In addition to a installed tracker this will ensure if the tracker fails in anyway or the thieves find the tracker that you still have a possibility of finding your trailer.
